New Arrivals

This page is designed as a preview of new horses that have arrived here and are in the evaluation process.  New horses are quarantined for a 30 day period to watch for any signs of illness or disease, while we also evaluate their riding skills, training, and temperament during this time.  We are able to evaluate their manners and pecking order in a herd situation as well as work with and handle them to see what kind of ground manners they have, evaluate temperament, ride the horses and expose them to different situations, and assess the level of training they have.  We also look for lameness or health issues, vices, and attend to any veterinary or farrier work they may need during this period.  After they have been through evaluation by us and have any necessary vet or farrier work taken care of, they will be moved to the appropriate For Sale page.  New horses are for sale, but we want anyone potentially interested in these horses to know that they have not been fully evaluated by us and may need veterinary or farrier attention and may have issues/behaviors that we are not yet aware of.  We will post tentative prices on these horses, which are subject to change, up or down at any time during or after the evaluation period.

--SOLD--Ashes is a big grey TB gelding, that stands over 16H (we will measure him exactly soon) and is approximately 14yrs old.  He is a well made horse with nice conformation and big, pretty movement.  Ashes has not been ridden or handled much in the last few years and is just now beginning his evaluation here.  He trailers well, and will stand tied.  We have not started riding him yet, but will in the next few days and will add updates as we check him out.  He is a friendly horse and seems to like people and attention.  We were told that he has been used mainly as a trail horse and has been ridden many miles in the pasture.  Ashes is not tattooed and has never been raced.  Update 2/18 we have saddled him and worked him the round pen.  He never offered to buck or act up in anyway, he saddled up like he's never missed a day.  He is a bit jumpy on the ground and is going to require some ground work and handling to get through this.  We feel it's just due to the fact he has not been handled much lately and he is in new surroundings.  With some consistent, quiet handling he should come around.  We will continue to work with him and post updates.  Ashes is for sale at this time, and his price is $700.  He will require an experienced handler/trainer.
